Yes, we know that these cars got a bad wrap from Ralph Nader, but I'm here to tell you that if you drive any car stupid, you are going to get stupid results. These little cars are just fun to drive, and in our opinion, even more so with the four speed. Nothing against automatics, because the last one we sold was an automatic, but these cars are like big go carts and are a lot more fun to go through the gears when you want to shift them.
Everything just purrs like a kitten in the 110 HP 164 Cu. In. motor. The clutch is tight and the tranny shifts beautifully. As you will see in the pics, this motor has been upgraded with the 4 x 1 barrel carb set up. This obviously adds a little more power vs. the 2 x 1 barrel set up the car would have come with. Again, this just adds to the fun factor of driving this car.
There are no rips or tears in the top and as you will see in the pics, the interior is in great shape as well. The seats have plenty of cushion front and rear with no rips or tears in them, and the carpet in in great shape as well. Normally you would expect to see cracks in the dash pad, but not in this car.
This car went through a transformation and has only had the 27,850 miles put on it since. All you have to do is get in, put your foot on the clutch, and turn the key and get ready to have the time of your life in this cool little Corvair.
